Richard Abanes has written a number of books critiquing other works and pointing out where they diversify from Christian viewpoint. It must be acknowledged that Abanes works all start from a certain evangelical Christian viewpoint. In his critique of Tolle’s A New Earth he puts forward a disputed or questionable quote from Tolle and then examines and refutes it in line with his own more standard Christian beliefs in a series of responses. These are often cogent arguments, though for me he at times misses the mark and either overlooks or misrepresents some things, but on the whole it is a reasoned argument.   
In all he makes eighty responses, which in Appendix B he lists with the questions they are responses to, this makes it a useful tool perhaps for a group study or even as a dialogue list for outreach work?
