I've worked my way through all the Phil Moore's Straight to the Heart of... series of books. The latest book Jeremiah &amp; Ezekiel follows the previous format and I have found it approachable and insightful. I'm not a biblical scholar, nor a Christian novice but I found these books hit the spot for me. Phil has a detailed and approachable way of breaking down the passages providing historical &amp; modern references and linking aspects of the old Testament to New Testament passages. I would encourage anyone to use these and make a start with Luke's gospel then Acts and then move on from there. I'm looking forward to the last 2 books in the series which are still to be published before I restart and review them again. I think these will be books I return to time and time again.
